Tiny Systems, Big Relief

How small, visible, low-friction systems can make daily life feel lighter without turning your home into a productivity project.

  • executive functioning
  • routines
  • ADHD

A system does not have to be elegant to be supportive. It only has to make the next step easier to notice and easier to begin.

Start with the point of friction

Instead of asking, “Why can’t I keep up with this?” try asking:

  • Where does this task usually stall?
  • What information disappears when I need it?
  • What part asks for more energy than I reliably have?

A basket beside the stairs, a duplicate charger, a visual checklist, or a bowl that catches the things in your pockets can all be meaningful accessibility tools.

Let the system be temporary

You are allowed to use a system for one season and replace it when your life changes. A supportive system serves you; you do not owe it loyalty.
