Self-care is not a specific set of activities. It is the work of noticing what helps your body and mind feel safer, steadier, or more alive.

Maybe that is a weighted blanket, a long shower, organizing tiny objects, parallel play, loud music, a familiar show, or canceling something before you reach the edge of burnout.

The goal is not to perform wellness correctly. The goal is to care for the person who is actually here.
